[conflicting ideas]
Ability to hold two conflicting ideas simultaneously.
♦ ♦ ♦
Incapacity to simultaneously play with two conflicting ideas without making a quick judgement as to which one is true may render us unable to fully consider their content. This leads to a resistance towards updates or improvements to our thinking.
We often unknowingly operate with this defect. Being conditioned by a politicised society to quickly decide our position on everything, often in line with our prevalent ideological beliefs and political adherence, leads to stagnation in the quality of our thinking.
